How the procedure is done?

Patients can leave the office, expecting little discomfort of the donor area. Tiny crusts around each transplanted hair and some redness is to be expected for the first five days or so, after which typically there is very less redness which can be concealed with makeup. Very rarely there is significant bruising and swelling around the eyes for the first three days, but most have only mild amounts. With advanced FUE technique, there is no scarring at donor site also.The transplanted hairs will fall out at around two to three week, then these hairs should start to regrow at four months. During the second and third week, the eyebrows actually look quite nice, given that the hairs have not yet fallen out. Over the next six months, the eyebrows will typically get more and more dense. Since the donor hairs were originated from scalp,most commonly, they require trimming usually every 10 to 14 days, and sometimes a bit of grooming is required as well.
The use of all microscopically dissected grafts allows the placement into the smallest possible incisions so as to minimize scarring and damage to already existing hairs. A procedure typically involves the placement of 50 to as many as 400 hairs to each eyebrow depending on the desired size, density and amount of existing hair.
